Under the title Oops! This Lady is from Vegas, not N.Y. (Apr. 16, 2011, several media) Ashley Powers reveals the mishap of issuing a postal stamp showing a replica of Lady Liberty, instead of the real one, in N.Y.
In Israel we have also, just recently, seen this movie, with even a graver mistake.
In a postal stamp dedicated, under a special decision of the Government of Israel, to the Hebrew language, one can see, inter alia, a computer keyboard, but, alas, there isn’t even one Hebrew letter on this keyboard…
On the tab of the stamp, you can read, in Hebrew, Arab and English: “An Ancient Language in Modern Times …Yes, in our “modern times” most computers and keyboard sold in Israel have originally Hebrew letters, but if you don’t have it originally, you can buy a set of Hebrew stickers, for but 30 NIS (about $8, or so), an expense which the Israeli Philatelic Service supposedly could not afford.
..
Beautiful language, beautiful stamp …
..
But where are the Hebrew keys?!
